5. SMS, MFA, and OTP Messaging

Program purpose

Dealer365 sends transactional account-security messages, including one-time passcodes, multi-factor authentication codes, login and identity verification, password-reset confirmation, new-device confirmation, and security alerts. The MFA campaign does not send marketing or promotional messages.

How users provide consent

A user provides consent by entering a mobile phone number during account registration or in account-security settings, selecting SMS as the authentication method, reviewing the SMS disclosure, affirmatively accepting the disclosure, and requesting a verification code. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on user-initiated authentication, account recovery, and account-security activity. Message and data rates may apply according to the user’s mobile carrier plan.

Opt-out and support

Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance. After opting out, a user may need to select another available authentication method to access protected account features.

We disclose personal information only when necessary to operate, secure, and support Dealer365, or when required by law. This may include limited disclosure to contracted cloud-hosting, cybersecurity, authentication, telecommunications, and SMS-delivery providers.

These providers are authorized to process information only to perform services for Dealer365 and are not authorized to use mobile information or messaging consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information when legally required to respond to valid legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or protect the security and integrity of Dealer365. Such legal disclosure does not authorize marketing or promotional use of mobile information or messaging consent.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party direct marketing.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure Dealer365, maintain consent and opt-out records, troubleshoot message delivery, detect fraud, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

SMS consent and opt-out records may be retained as evidence that messaging preferences were collected and honored. Authentication and delivery logs are retained for a limited period based on security, operational, audit, and legal requirements.

10. Children’s Privacy

Dealer365 is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Dealer365.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in Dealer365 services, messaging practices, security measures, or legal requirements. The updated Policy will be posted at this same URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
